Judging a Book by it’s Cover

I’ve often thought that the 80’s song “It Doesn’t Matter” by Coleman Wilde would be a great Scouting song. “Where you’re from, it doesn’t matter. What you wear, it doesn’t matter. The way you move, it doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter how you cut your hair. It’s what’s inside that counts.” It makes you think doesn’t it? The cover of a book doesn’t tell the story inside!

People can be fooled by what they see, or what they think they see. Even the most open-minded person sometimes makes assumptions based their first impression of a situation. However sometimes things are not what they seem.

Have a look at the following video. What do you see? What do you think you see?

Back tomorrow with more, so until then…

Be fair, be open-minded, and keep Scouting!
